Installation If you have a Retail or Steam version of The Sims 3, download the ldTS3Patch10.zip. Different players have different experiences with that built-in warning. Most noticeably in Create A Sim, Create A Style and Buy/Build. If the game instead minimizes to the taskbar and there is no way to click through the warning, then Awesome becomes useless.
If that's the only reason that the core mismatch error appears, and if the player can click through it, then it's harmless. The two developers took very different approaches to their mod development but respected each other enough to make their mods more or less work together in most cases rather than fight each other in-game but running both does give the player a bit more to manage and be aware of.Įdit: Should add that Awesome will kick up the core version mismatch warning at startup because as far as I know its developer never made it officially compatible with the Steam version of the game. If Awesome detects that NRaas SP is active and controlling progression, it is programmed to quietly switch off StoryMode.Īwesome is a Core Mod and only customizable up to a point using its optional configuration tool and console commands, NRaas mods (other than ErrorTrap) are Script Mods and much more flexible to the player. Also, only one type of story progression, NRaas SP's or Awesome's StoryMode, can be active at a time. There are a couple of NRaas mods that really shouldn't be installed alongside of Awesome (MC isn't one of them) or some that have special considerations to be taken because they duplicate functionality.
